The Greater White Bear Lake Community Foundation (GWBLCF) is a tax-exempt 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2015 to serve both donors and nonprofit agencies throughout our community. The GWBLCF manages and administers charitable funds for individuals, families, businesses, and nonprofit organizations and makes grants to programs and projects that enrich the lives of people living in the communities that share the shores of White Bear Lake.

Fund Name Description
Foundation Builders Fund To support the ongoing development and operations of the foundation.
Community Partners Fund To distribute grants to local community organizations and programs, as designated by the donor, or if undesignated, as determined by the foundation's Grantmaking Committee.
Giving Gardens Fund To build community awareness of local food insecurity and to build local sustainability through neighbors growing produce to be donated to neighbors in need of access to healthy food options
Lake Links Association Fund A fiscally-sponsored fund. To support the Lake Links Association project to create safe passage for kids, bikes, pedestrians and the disabled around White Bear Lake.
White Bear Area Emergency Food Shelf Endowment Fund To support the long-term sustainability of this organization that provides food and support to our neighbors in need.
White Bear Lake Area Historical Society Endowment Fund To support the long term sustainability of this organization whose mission is to connect the community to its past and to cultivate an appreciation for our history
Championing the Arts & Preserving Our History To foster a dynamic creative community and a strong sense of history.
Conserving Our Natural Environment To preserve the quality of our lakes, parks, and trails.
Developing Leadership To create a new generation of leaders for the greater White Bear Lake area.
Developing Leadership: Leadership Tomorrow Fund To support Leadership Tomorrow, a program of the Foundation in partnership with the White Bear Rotary Club and the White Bear Area Chamber of Commerce, to create the next generation of community leaders.
Girls in Science To enable access to help people realize their potential.
Social Justice for All To support understanding and collaboration among individuals and/or organizations in the greater White Bear Lake area and to deepen the effectiveness of their efforts in advancing social, racial, and economic justice. Priority for grants will be given to initiatives or events that focus on bringing people together.
Strengthening Families To provide resources that promote resilience.
Supporting Community Life To encourage activities that bring communities together.
