The Greater White Bear Lake Community Foundation (GWBLCF) is a tax-exempt 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2015 to serve both donors and nonprofit agencies throughout our community. The GWBLCF manages and administers charitable funds for individuals, families, businesses, and nonprofit organizations and makes grants to programs and projects that enrich the lives of people living in the communities that share the shores of White Bear Lake.

Championing the Arts & Preserving Our History A field of interest fund to foster a dynamic creative community and a strong sense of history.
Conserving Our Natural Environment A field of interest fund to preserve the quality of our lakes, parks, and trails.
Expanding Opportunities & Education For All A field of interest fund enabling access to help people realize their potential.
Girls in Science A field of interests fund to lower barriers faced by girls in pursuing educational and career opportunities in the fields of science, technology (computer science), engineering, and mathematics.
Leadership Fund A field of interest fund to support Leadership Tomorrow, a program to create a new generation of leaders for the greater White Bear Lake area.
Social Justice Fund A field of interest fund to support understanding and collaboration among individuals and/or organizations in the greater White Bear Lake area and to deepen the effectiveness of their efforts in advancing social, racial, and economic justice. Priority for grants will be given to initiatives or events that focus on bringing people together.
Strengthening Families A field of interest fund to provide resources that promote resilience.
Supporting Community Life A field of interest fund to encourage activities that bring communities together.
Lake Links Association Fund A designated fund that supports the Lake Links Association project to create safe passage for kids, bikes, pedestrians and the disabled around White Bear Lake.
Willernie/Mahtomedi Downtown Improvement Fund A field of interest fund to provide for, acquire, install, replace, refresh, maintain and establish physical amenities to make the downtown area shared by the cities of Willernie and Mahtomedi more attractive to residents, visitors, businesses and customers who use the area.
Zephyr Performing Arts Foundation Inspire learners and community to value, engage, and advocate for inclusive, growth-oriented performing arts programs.
Aaron's Playground Memorial Fund AARON'S PLAYGROUND is an initiative to build a memorial play structure in Mahtomedi in memory of Aaron Zachary Markovitz. Born to parents Becky and Craig Markovitz on August 27, 2018, Aaron was a loving child filled with vigor and promise. Being born premature, Aaron fought for his life for seven weeks before passing away in the arms of his parents. This playground will stand as a symbol of hope and love for Aaron and the countless other children who lost their lives too soon.
White Bear Lake Area Historical Society Endowment Fund To support the long term sustainability of this organization whose mission is to connect the community to its past and to cultivate an appreciation for our history
White Bear Area Emergency Food Shelf Endowment Fund To support the long-term sustainability of this organization that provides food and support to our neighbors in need.
Foundation Builders Fund To support the ongoing development and operations of the foundation.
Opportunities Fund To respond to special or unanticipated management and operational opportunities that advance the mission of the Greater WBL Community Foundation, established in honor of Jackie Reis, executive director, 2015-2019.
